These beautiful botanical prints were originally published in Paxton's Magazine of Botany which was in existence in London from 1834 to 1849. Sir Joseph Paxton was not the artist but the founder of the publication which brought these beautiful designs to life.

Sir Paxton (3 August 1803 – 8 June 1865) was an English gardener, architect, engineer and Member of Parliament, best known for designing the Crystal Palace and for cultivating the Cavendish banana, the most consumed banana in the Western world.

Due to the age of these prints there are few originals still available and their value is high. As expected, they have yellowed with age and shown their wear so we have brought them back to life through the use of several current technologies.

These prints are far too beautiful and colorful to be lost to the ages. The detail and colorations of these prints are even more outstanding when you consider the processes used to publish printed material back in the early to mid 1800's in England. Also due to their age they are well beyond copyright and in the public domain.
